We know how difficult it is to gather the family for the vacations trip: logistics, packing, coming up with activities for the children during the trip, finding quality time just for the couple, finding someone to take care of the home pets, etc. … Keeping in mind the ultimate goal is TO REST, we have designed this fun filled itinerary so you do not get exhausted finding ways trying to relax. Let´s go for a ride!

Day 1: San José

We’ll be waiting for you at the airport help you with luggage and take you straight away to your hotel in San José.  We have chosen a comfortable place for the whole family with walking distance choices of entertainment, from cinemas, gourmet restaurants to local breweries, even supermarket and laundry service provided in your hotel!

Day 2: poas volcano and waterfall garden

Today you will start with the fun. An easy ride with private transportation and guide so your family can admire one of the widest open craters in the world: the iconic Poás Volcano. Next is a stop at the beautiful natural waterfall gardens and wild animal refugee where you can get close to lots of flora and fauna species that makes Costa Rica world famous. Return to your hotel at the end of the afternoon.

Day 3: COSTA RICA’S NATURAL ADVENTURE THEME PARK

This morning we’ll bring your rented vehicle, for it’s time to head out to the northern plains in La Fortuna de San Carlos, home to the Arenal, a perfect cone shaped volcano that has spawned a myriad of fun filled activities, so much so that we call it Costa Rica’s Natural Adventure Theme Park.  We have reserved a space in the afternoon so the whole family can experience the adrenaline pumping on the zip-line canopy adventure. Afterwards, it’s time to relax at a beautiful volcanic thermal springs garden..

Day 4: FLOATING ON THE BALSA RIVER

You cannot leave La Fortuna without going on a river safari. On a raft you will discover the natural beauty of the rainforest, and an expert guide will help you and your kids spot its inhabitants: monkeys, macaws, sloths, ancient trees and will talk to you about the importance of the conservation of these eco-systems.

Day 5: A RIVER WATER PARK

Today you will head out to another fun filled adventure day, this time at Club Rio, a natural activity park that has become another “must go” family destination.  There are lots of activities you can choose from:  kayaking, tubing, rock climbing, horseback rides, natural trails, thermal springs, mountain biking, birdwatching tours, trout fishing and a rescue center for injured wild animals.

Day 6

 

On your last day in this region you will go visit arguably the most beautiful waterfall in the country:  La Fortuna Waterfall. Hidden in the midst of the rainforest this place was a place of worship for our indigenous inhabitants, who believed their god presented itself to them in the form of an impressive water column. This will all make sense to you standing in front of it. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 7: guanacaste beachfront resort

How about going barefoot for a few days? Next stop is an all-inclusive 5 star beachfront resort. Several restaurants and bars (with available baby-sitters), kids and teenagers clubs, and multiple watersports options.  Such a place sits in beautiful Jobo beach in the northern pacific. You will get there on a scenic road trip that will take you past the stunning Arenal Lake and the windswept Tilarán area into the Guanacaste region, famous for its beautiful beaches.

DAYs 8 , 9, 10 & 11:  BEACHCOMBING

Day 12: return
